This bespoke dressing room was designed as a refined private retreat, combining elegant storage solutions with a calm and luxurious atmosphere. The space balances functionality with decorative detailing, creating an environment that feels both highly tailored and effortlessly serene.

Soft neutral tones, curved forms and carefully layered materials introduce warmth and sophistication throughout, whilst bespoke joinery and integrated lighting ensure the room remains highly practical for everyday use.

The Brief

The client wanted to create a sophisticated dressing room that felt calm, feminine and luxurious without appearing overly formal. The brief focused on combining generous concealed storage with dedicated dressing and display areas, whilst maintaining a soft and cohesive aesthetic throughout the room.

Design Overview

A softly tailored dressing room centred around symmetry, elegant detailing and understated luxury.

Atmosphere

Calm, refined and intimate, using layered neutral tones and gentle curves to create a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Materials

A muted palette of warm painted finishes, textured wall coverings, brushed brass detailing and natural timber tones creates softness and depth throughout the space.

Lighting

Decorative lighting was used as a central feature within the scheme, with the suspended statement pendant helping define the island and introducing a soft ambient glow across the room. Natural light from the large sash windows further enhances the calm and airy atmosphere.

The Joinery

At the heart of the room sits a bespoke curved island, designed to introduce softness and improve circulation throughout the space. Carefully detailed drawer fronts, rounded corners and brushed brass accents reinforce the tailored and highly crafted feel of the joinery.

Full-height wardrobes provide generous concealed storage whilst maintaining clean architectural lines throughout the room. Integrated dressing areas positioned beneath the windows introduce moments of functionality without interrupting the symmetry of the overall design.

Feature wardrobe doors with decorative circular detailing help create focal points within the scheme, whilst concealed storage solutions ensure the room remains calm and uncluttered.
